This tap has a vertical outlet, making it perfect for use with battery operated automatic watering timers. Most taps have an outlet that is pointed out at 22 degrees. This tap will allow you to have your timer sit snugly underneath and won't be protruded from the wall. This is a direct replacement for all standard outside taps. All you need to do is unscrew your current tap from the wall plate and screw this in. This also comes with a check valve to conform with water board standards
